Luke Shuey was today named the Rising Star for round 2. Shuey had a career-best performance against Port on the weekend, amassing 27 disposals and 3 goals. It's always nice to see an Eagle get recognition. We always seem to be on the periphery of the AFL media's attention. It's especially heartening to see a guy like Shuey get rewarded. He played only 6 games in his first 2 seasons at the club. Besides injury, he has had to deal with a real tragedy involving the death of his sister.
