Hmmm...well I started writing this a week after our season ended but then ran out of enthusiasm shortly thereafter. I thought I might as well publish it as I have nothing else to type...except I hate this weather.
From 25th of September:
Midfield
Well, we're a bit short of the top
2. Experience comes into the equation, but we do have some holes. I
think our midfield is a little weak. Shuey had a superb season and
Selwood was very serviceable. But Kerr is slowly coming to the end and Masten
isn't (at least for now) the player we expected when we drafted him.
Priddis is a good player, but he lacks pace. I think we need some one who can break the lines and clear the ball effectively...does anyone know if the Juddas is available? This is my main area of concern. Although I think most of the youngsters will be better for the finals experience, we need an extra boost. However, I'm not very confident of us doing anything to address this. We will be picking low plus we usually like to sit and watch in awe at trade week.
Rucks
We have the best ruck duo in the competition. Cox may have 1-2 years left so I'm not too concerned. I'm hopeful that Naitanui can continue to improve. He has great potential and I expect with a full preseason he can evolve into a dominant ruckman. The future is bright here.
Forwards
Lynch, JJK, Lecras, Darling, Nicoski, ?. I have harped on about it for a while. We need a genuine top quality rover. I know we have players like Broom and Wheedon, but I don't know if they're the answer. What I do know is that Hams isn't the answer. He's an okay player but not at an AFL level.

From January 17th.
Well we drafted Brad Dick. I like Dick alot. (TWSS) But he's perhaps the most injury plagued player in the comp. Still, if he can stay on the field he's an excellent addition. Josh Hill's an interesting proposition. I know he plays more on the halfback line but he did start his career in the forward line. Still, I would have liked to see Leon wearing our colours this season.
Backs
My recollection may not be entirely accurate, but I believe our defense was quite superb last season. Mr Glass and E-Mac. were standouts in the key positions. Plus, other guys I honesty can't remember at this time. I just had a terrible feeling that Glass retired, but he didn't. I literally typed his name into google to check. Phew!
In conclusion, this season should be very interesting. I think I might post our top 5 most anticipated games of the season, plus a short season preview/prediction prior to the beginning of the preseason comp. I hate the sun.
